Placid Plastic Duck Simulator

Placid Plastic Duck Simulator launched on July 6, 2022 and has received a continuous stream of paid DLC and free updates ever since. Nine paid DLC packs (plus one free DLC) have shipped across the period from October 2022 through September 2025, establishing a very consistent pattern of new content roughly every few months. The most recent DLC, Virtual Thermae, launched on September 16, 2025, adding a new ancient-baths location. Before that, the free Ducklings DLC arrived on July 7, 2025 — released as a birthday gift to mark the game's third anniversary, with the developer explicitly framing it as a sign of ongoing enthusiasm: "we're having a whole lot of fun together." Developer communication has remained active well into 2026. In December 2025, the developer teased "the season's grand finale in PPDS next year," and in February 2026 two new limited-time ducks were added to the game's Infinity Cool mode to celebrate the release of a companion title (Placid Plastic Deck – A Quiet Quest). A further developer post on February 23, 2026 added two more ducks tied to the launch of another new game, Slowly Sliding Ducks. The developer has also expanded the Placid Plastic Duck universe considerably: a VR version launched in Early Access in May 2025, a mobile version was announced for the same period, and two additional duck-themed games were released in early 2026. Throughout all of this, the base game has continued to receive seasonal events and new duck content. With a well-established cadence of major content updates, active developer communications as recently as February 2026, a teased "grand finale" for the base game in 2026, and no statement from the developer indicating that development is winding down, the game continues to receive meaningful post-launch content.
