Platypus Reclayed launched on September 17, 2025 as a complete revamp of the classic indie shoot 'em up. Since launch, Claymatic Games has been consistently active with updates. The game received a significant Patch #2 on October 31, 2025, which added Steam Workshop modding support, new music tracks, UI improvements, and the free Spooky Platypus DLC. A follow-up patch arrived on November 14, 2025, and a free Winter Mission DLC level was released on December 18, 2025. The most recent update, Version 1.4.0, was posted on April 20, 2026, focused on expanding the modding API with a large number of new scripting tools. The September 23, 2025 Patch #1 post explicitly noted that "free additional content is in the works," and the developer's actions have backed that up with two seasonal free DLC releases. All four DLC items (two content packs, a soundtrack, and an artbook) are now released. No specific future content has been announced, but the team has been posting updates roughly every one to two months since launch and the most recent communication was on April 20, 2026 — approximately two months ago relative to today. The developer has not announced the conclusion of content development.
