Poppy Playtime is a chapter-based horror/puzzle adventure where the base game (Chapter 1) launched on October 12, 2021, with each subsequent story chapter sold as separate DLC. Chapter 2 launched on May 5, 2022; Chapter 3 on January 30, 2024; Chapter 4 on January 30, 2025; and Chapter 5 ("Broken Things") on February 18, 2026. Chapter 5 has been actively patched since launch, with the most recent bug fix patch arriving on July 2, 2026. Beyond the chapter releases, Mob Entertainment has announced a brand-new title called "Escape From Playtime" — a multiplayer experience set in the Poppy Playtime universe. On August 26, 2026, the developer announced the game was "coming soon" and invited players to sign up for playtests. On September 20, 2026, they confirmed a Steam Early Access launch date of October 21, 2026, and opened an open beta starting October 1, 2026. This is a separate Steam product (App ID 2087540), not a DLC chapter, but it represents planned upcoming content from Mob Entertainment squarely within the Poppy Playtime universe.
