Evaluation
POSTAL 2 originally launched in 2003 and has received steady updates and content over the years. Its major content additions include the Paradise Lost expansion (April 17, 2015) and a substantial 20th Anniversary Update on April 19, 2023, which brought a major community-developed patch into the official game, added new game modes, weapons, difficulty levels, and quality-of-life improvements. Both DLC entries — Paradise Lost and the Official Soundtrack — have been released.
The most recent developer communications (June–August 2025) are entirely focused on POSTAL 2 Redux, a separate ground-up remake being developed by a different team (Team Beef) with a different publisher (Impact Inked/Flat2VR Studios), targeting a 2026 release. Running With Scissors explicitly confirmed that POSTAL 2 Redux is an external project with no effect on their internal work, and separately confirmed that the original POSTAL 2 will not be delisted. These announcements are about a distinct product, not new content for the original Steam release of POSTAL 2.
There are no unreleased DLC entries in the store listing, no developer statements promising future updates to the original game, and no sustained post-2023 update pattern. The last meaningful content addition to POSTAL 2 itself was the April 19, 2023 anniversary update. Based on the full evidence, the original POSTAL 2 on Steam appears to be a complete, finished product as of that update.

Blast, chop and piss your way through a freakshow of American caricatures in this darkly humorous first-person adventure. Meet Krotchy: the toy mascot gone bad, visit your Uncle Dave at his besieged religious cult compound and battle sewer-dwelling Taliban when you least expect them! Endure the sphincter-clenching challenge of cannibal rednecks, corrupt cops and berserker elephants. Accompanied by Champ, the Dude's semi-loyal pitbull, battle your way through open environments populated with amazingly unpredictable AI. Utilize an arsenal of weapons ranging from a humble shovel to a uniquely hilarious rocket launcher.
Collect a pack of attack dogs! Use cats as silencers! Piss and pour gasoline on anything and everyone! YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!
