Priest Simulator: Heavy Duty launched on October 18, 2021 as a standalone entry in the Priest Simulator franchise — a shorter, self-contained sandbox experience. The developer posted several patches and feature updates in the months following launch, with the last substantive update to Heavy Duty arriving on April 1, 2023, which added cutscenes, dialogue improvements, and various fixes.
In a July 2022 post, the developer explicitly stated "That's it for Heavy Duty for now. We focus on the full game" — signaling that active development on Heavy Du had concluded in favor of the main Priest Simulator: Vampire Show. The December 2024 year-in-review post confirms that the franchise has moved on entirely: Vampire Show has left Early Access, a DLC called Her Ghost has shipped for Vampire Show, and the next installment (Wolf Moon) is in development. Heavy Duty is referenced only as a benchmark for scale — the developer described Her Ghost DLC as being "roughly on the scale of Heavy Duty."
No new content has been announced for Heavy Duty, no unreleased DLC is listed, and the developer's focus has clearly shifted to other projects in the franchise. The game launched and was supported as a complete, self-contained experience, with all post-launch polish wrapping up by April 2023.

About this game
San de Ville, a village haunted by a recent increase in shatanist activity, hosts a chilli-eating contest. Quella, a little-known streamer, decides to document the event and meets the competition's front-runner: Father Orlok.

Heavy Duty is written in the form of a mockumentary that will make you shiver with cringe. There is talking to the camera, there is a village drama, there are TV strips like in BBC. It's hard to believe this really happened.

You play as Father Orlok, sharing a slice of your life. Let me put it this way, it's not one of the most exciting jobs in the world, but at least it pays well. Especially since everyone is afraid of you.
