Evaluation
Primordia is a classic point-and-click adventure game that launched on December 5, 2012. The developer, Wormwood Studios, has been consistently clear about the game's content status over the years.
In March 2019, the studio released what they explicitly described as their intended "last substantive update" to Primordia — a major patch that updated the game engine for modern hardware compatibility, integrated translations, and fixed outstanding bugs. They noted they might release future hotfixes if bugs were found, and true to that, they have continued to do exactly that: small maintenance patches to fix bugs, improve compatibility, and update the engine, most recently in June 2026.
The developer's own December 2025 year-in-review post confirms that ongoing work on Primordia consists entirely of bug fixes, translation work, and keeping the game running on modern systems — not new story content or expansions. The studio's creative energy since 2019 has been directed at their subsequent games, Strangeland (released May 2021) and Fallen Gods (in development).
Both DLC items in the store listing — the official and unofficial soundtracks — have been released. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced expansions, and no roadmap for new content. The cinematic rights acquisition announced in February 2024 is a separate film project by Marauder Film and does not constitute new game content.
Primordia is a complete, finished game. The content became complete with the March 2019 patch, which the developer themselves described as their final substantive update. Everything since has been maintenance.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world strewn with cast-off machines, Primordia tells the story of Horatio Nullbuilt, a stoic robot who values his solitude and independence. Horatio spends his days studying the Book of Man, sparring with his droid companion Crispin, and tinkering with the airship they call home — a peaceful existence that becomes threatened when a rogue robot steals the energy source that the pair needs to survive.
When Horatio and Crispin’s search for energy brings them to the dazzling city of Metropol, the simple quest to recover their stolen power core leads to unexpected discoveries about Horatio’s origins and a new understanding of the legendary humans who walked the earth before him.
