Project Exhibited is a free-to-play stealth game created by a student team at Breda University of Applied Sciences, released on June 16, 2020. On July 21, 2020, the developers explicitly announced that this was "the final update" and that Team Thieves would be "going dark," thanking players and stating they would no longer be updating the game. This was a clear and direct statement that development was complete.
However, the team made one small follow-up on September 16, 2020, adding an in-game timer and loot percentage counter in response to interest from the speedrunning community. Their own post acknowledged this contradicted their earlier "final update" announcement. This September 16, 2020 update represents the last developer communication and the last content addition to the game.
The only DLC — the game's soundtrack — was released on January 22, 2021. No further updates, announcements, or content have been made since. The game launched as a student project with a defined, finite scope, and the developers have clearly communicated that it is complete.
