Project Nightmares Case 36: Henrietta Kedward launched on September 29, 2021 as a complete, self-contained single-player horror game. The developers explicitly stated in September 2021 that they had finished the game and were only making minor final adjustments before release. The store description describes it as "the first installment" in the Project Nightmares series, framing it as a complete case/episode rather than a live game expecting ongoing updates.
Since launch, the developer's attention has clearly shifted to a new, separate product: Project Nightmares Multiplayer (later branded as Project Legion). Beginning in June 2024, all developer announcements posted to the original game's store page were promoting this new multiplayer game — first a single-player demo in June 2024, then a multiplayer playtest in July 2024, and finally the official Project Legion trailer and October 24, 2024 launch date. These posts were cross-promotional announcements for a separate Steam title, not new content for Case 36: Henrietta Kedward.
The two "major content" posts in the developer's history are the game's own launch (September 2021) and the Project Legion trailer post (October 2024) — neither represents post-launch content added to this game. The 12 feature patches and 20 bug fixes in the post history all appear to be maintenance and quality-of-life improvements to the base game, not expansions of its content. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no roadmap promising future content, and no developer statement indicating additional cases or episodes are planned for this specific title.
The game shipped as a complete, finished product and has received only maintenance support since. NC Studio has moved on to building Project Legion as the next chapter of the universe.
