Project RPG Remastered launched on January 10, 2017. Prior to its full release, the game had been in early access under original developer Acuze Interactives, receiving several patches between August and November 2016 that built out the main questline and map areas. On September 12, 2016, Acuze announced the main questline was complete, though they indicated more content was planned at the time.
In January 2018, Displacement Studios announced it had acquired the game. Their January 7, 2018 post outlined a focused set of technical improvements — price reduction, file size optimization, bug fixes, and store page updates. These were fully delivered in the January 13, 2018 patch. Notably, the acquisition post described only housekeeping and maintenance changes, with no mention of new gameplay content, story expansions, or continued development beyond these fixes.
There have been no developer communications of any kind after January 13, 2018 — now over eight years ago. The store description invites community suggestions for "future updates," but this is boilerplate language from the original listing and is contradicted by eight years of complete silence from the current owner. No DLC has ever been listed or announced. No roadmap, expansion, or post-launch content has been teased or delivered beyond the maintenance patch from the new publisher.
The evidence points to a game that has been functionally complete and abandoned by active development since January 2018, when Displacement Studios wrapped up their acquisition cleanup work. The game is available to purchase and functions as a finished — if modest — product.

Storyline:
You wake up and find you have no idea where you are. Worse, you barely remember anything about the recent past. The only thing you're holding on to is your son's voice, crying for you helplessly, and your wife screaming she loves you, but you can't recall what was happening during that time. Ahead of you is a dirt path, so you follow it. You walk right into a village. You look around and inquire if anyone can help you, but no one is interested in assisting unless you have copper to pay them in return. You go and talk to the ammunition dealer, and he makes you a deal. If you can complete a series of risky quests for him, he will pay you for them individually. Along with taking the time to collect copper, and maybe complete some daring quests, you set out on your journey to look for your wife and son.

Project RPG is mainly an open world role-playing game, but it also consists of many different genres; horror, action, storytelling and mystery. We wanted to ensure the game has a little something for a wide variety of players. The quests, depending on how you choose to play the game, will vary from being guided with help to find your family, to being left to find out where to go on your own, to how much of the game you view before completion. There are many sites for you to explore, for example the ghoul-infested asylum. Also, the bonuses (weapons, unlocked doors, etc.) you receive after the quest, will be determined by the choice of quest and which villager assigned it.
