Pure Badminton launched on December 16, 2025, after years of development and a year of beta testing. Since launch, the sole developer (Paul) has maintained a consistent pattern of updates — shipping feature patches and content updates roughly every 4–6 weeks. The developer has explicitly and repeatedly committed to building an online multiplayer mode. This was first outlined in the January 2026 Q1 roadmap post, reaffirmed in the March 2026 spring update, confirmed again in the May 8, 2026 patch 1.2.0 notes ("I'll now start working on the online mode"), and most recently reiterated in the June 25, 2026 Summer Sale Update ("Online Multiplayer is Coming Soon — development is progressing well"). The Summer Sale Update also delivered a major content addition: a brand-new tournament and additional animations. The most recent developer communication was June 25, 2026, maintaining the established posting cadence. The developer is actively engaged with the community and the online multiplayer feature is confirmed to be in progress.
