谜题姐妹 Puzzle Sisters originally launched in June 2018, but the developer was unhappy with the result and announced in July 2019 a full rebuild using RPG Maker. That rebuilt version was pushed to players as a replacement update in February 2023, initially in a preview state with only 20 questions. The developer completed the remake by March 13, 2023, bringing both character question banks up to 100 questions each, adding NPCs, behind-the-scenes content, and a voice preview area — describing the remake as "basically complete."
A follow-up patch on March 16, 2023 added 20 more achievements (reaching 100 total Chinese-character achievements), expanded the question bank to 200, and improved quality-of-life features. A July 9, 2024 patch further expanded achievement capacity to 2,000 reserved slots and reduced the question-answering requirement needed to unlock achievements. A final bug fix on August 9, 2024 corrected an issue with achievement #0190.
The store description notes that questions "may be updated irregularly in the future," which is a casual, open-ended statement rather than a specific announcement of planned content. The developer has not announced any named upcoming content, DLC, expansions, or a roadmap. The only DLC (the soundtrack) has been released since 2018. The most recent developer communication was the bug fix on August 9, 2024. Given the lightweight, casual nature of the game, the absence of any specific content announcements, and the stable state the game has been in since mid-2024, the game is best understood as a complete product at this time.
