DvDrum, Ultimate Drum Simulator! has been continuously maintained and improved since its launch on February 9, 2017. The developer has shipped a steady stream of substantive feature updates — not just bug fixes — covering audio engine improvements, MIDI system enhancements, reverb systems, Workshop functionality, and more. Recent activity is particularly strong. Update 4.7.0 (January 18, 2025) introduced a new customizable reverb system and significant MIDI improvements. Update 4.7.1 (March 14, 2025) followed with audio quality refinements. Update 4.8.0 (February 16, 2026) delivered a major audio engine overhaul with EQ balancing, stereo spatiality improvements, and a compressor. Update 4.8.1 (March 2, 2026) further refined that audio work. Most recently, Update 4.8.2 was released on June 25, 2026 — less than two months before today — adding an advanced EQ for improved sound quality. All nine sound pack DLCs were released in July 2019 and there are no unreleased DLC entries on the store. The developer has made no statement about completing or ending development of the game.
