Evaluation

Puzzle Spy International launched on March 30, 2026, after roughly seven years of development by a two-person team (Mike and Talia at Travel-Friendly Cake). The game was deliberately scoped as a self-contained experience — the developers explicitly describe it in the store as "2–7 hours of gameplay" with "11 different challenging puzzles," and their development history shows they consciously cut a much larger concept down to a manageable finished product. Since launch, the only post-launch release has been the official soundtrack DLC (released May 28, 2026), which packages the game's music in MP3 and lossless WAV formats. The May 28 news post — the most recent developer communication — reads entirely as a celebratory wrap-up: the developers thank players, announce the soundtrack bundle, mention participating in the Cerebral Puzzle Showcase, and note that one of them has just finished her Masters program and graduated. There is no roadmap, no hint of future game content, no announced DLC beyond the soundtrack, and no language suggesting ongoing development. The game's only DLC entry (the soundtrack) is already released. The store description presents the game as a bounded, complete experience. The developer's own post-launch communication has the unmistakable tone of a finished project. With the "Within Recently Launched Window" field now reading "No" (the 180-day window has closed as of October 1, 2026), the previously applied recently-launched caution no longer applies. The evidence now clearly points to a game that launched complete and has received no indication of further content.

Every puzzle along your path is a unique challenge for you to uncover and figure out how to solve. Bring your wordplay, logical deduction and deciphering skills. Figuring out the intent of each puzzle is half the fun, so put on your thinking cap and go-go boots and get to work!

As you interrogate or converse with a variety of interesting characters, select the conversational path that works for you. Choose a question that gets you more information, skip right to the puzzle, or even flirt with your contact.

Keep that carry-on bag handy: You’ll have to solve each tricky puzzle to figure out where your itinerary will take you next in pursuit of the diamond thieves. Each solution leads you to a new country with new choices and new puzzles.

Retro mid-century modern visual style and a jazzy spy-music score help set the scene for this mid-’60s spy adventure. As Agent Epsilon, you’ll get to rendezvous with informants, crack codes, communicate with HQ on a compact phone, and even defuse a bomb in this spy adventure.
