Quantum Protocol

Quantum Protocol launched on November 4, 2020, with the developer explicitly stating at launch that content updates were planned. The game then received a strong wave of major content updates: the Omega/Legion deck (November 24, 2020), the Spirit deck (December 19, 2020), the Mage deck (January 24, 2021), the One Step From Eden collaboration deck (March 15, 2021), the CrossCode collaboration deck (May 7, 2021), the Mahou deck (June 24, 2021), and finally the Nova Drift collaboration deck with a full Spirit archetype rework (October 9, 2023). That's six major content drops across roughly three years of post-launch development. After the Nova Drift update in October 2023, the only developer communication was a small bug fix on July 14, 2024. There have been no developer posts of any kind since July 14, 2024 — nearly a year of silence. The major content releases were spaced anywhere from weeks to over two years apart, but the game now has only one released DLC (the soundtrack, which shipped at launch), no unreleased DLC listed, and no announcements of upcoming content. The developer has not stated the game is finished, but the pattern of activity — six major updates followed by a bug fix and then extended silence — alongside no outstanding commitments or announced content, points to the game having reached the end of its content cycle. The last meaningful content dropped on October 9, 2023, with the final developer communication on July 14, 2024.
