Raiders of Treasure Island

Raiders of Treasure Island entered Steam Early Access on March 4, 2024, with SuperMonster Studio openly acknowledging the game was unfinished and committing to ongoing development. In their March 7, 2024 developer letter, they laid out a clear roadmap: adding new weapons, skills, and classes; opening a third map; introducing beginner guides; and adding new equipment, monsters, and bosses over time. Following launch, the studio delivered a steady stream of updates through late 2024: a new Priest class (April 30, 2024), major overhauls to matchmaking, skills, and UI systems (April 18, 2024), a full season system with leaderboards and seasonal activities (May 31, 2024), further gameplay refinements (June 14 and June 28, 2024), and most recently a Season 1 launch with new Priest abilities and camera features (November 21, 2024). However, the November 21, 2024 post is the last communication from the developer. The studio had previously been posting updates roughly every 4–8 weeks, making this silence — stretching past September 2026 — a significant departure from their established pattern. No announcement of a hiatus, studio issues, or completion of the game has been made. Given that the game remains in Early Access with outstanding development promises (a full 1.0 release, additional content) and the developer has gone silent for an extended period without explanation, there is genuine uncertainty about whether development is continuing.
