Evaluation
Railroad Ink Challenge launched on June 17, 2021, as a digital adaptation of the tabletop roll-and-write game. Two expansions — the Forest Expansion and the Desert Expansion — were released simultaneously on January 28, 2022, adding special dice and rules for new map landscapes. Both expansions are now available and no further DLC has been announced or listed on the store.
The developer's most notable post-launch communications dealt with an infrastructure issue: online services were suspended on September 30, 2022 after the third-party provider GameSparks ceased operations, and then successfully restored by June 6, 2023. This was a maintenance matter rather than a signal of new content. A July 2022 post announced a different Horrible Guild game entirely (The King's Dilemma: Chronicles) and has no bearing on Railroad Ink Challenge's development.
With both expansions shipped, no unreleased DLC on the store, no developer announcements of further content, and the most recent game-specific communication being the online service restoration in June 2023, the game appears to be a complete product. The content cycle concluded with the expansion releases in January 2022.

About this game
In Railroad Ink Challenge, you have 7 rounds to make as many points as possible. Roll the dice and draw the routes to connect the exits around your board. Expand your network with railways, highways, and stations to collect points, but you will be penalized for any open connections, so plan carefully! Play solo to improve your best score, or challenge players from all over the world!
Each round you will have to roll the dice and use the available routes to build your transportation network and connect as many exits as possible. Expand your network to collect points. You’ll also score bonus points for your longest highway and railway, for building into the central spaces of your map, and for completing optional, time-dependent goals before they expire.
You can also connect special structures to your network to trigger their special effects, such as duplicating routes, unlocking powerful special routes, and more. But beware: Try to not leave any open connections, as each one will cost you points at the end of the game.
The Forest and Desert expansions add special dice and rules to create even more intricate landscapes for your highways and railways.
