Red Button launched on October 15, 2021 as a free-to-play turn-based strategy game. Following launch, the developer shipped one feature patch on November 14, 2021 (Update 1.1 "Penguins!") adding a secret level, Steam achievements, and soundtrack content, and then one further update on May 2, 2022 (Update 1.11 "Hello from China!") which added Chinese language support. That is the last update the developer has shipped, and also the last change noted on the store page itself ("Last update: 1.11 'Hello from China!'"). The developer's New Year's post from December 31, 2021 mentioned intentions to release new updates in 2022 and "possibly new games," but the only 2022 update that materialized was the Chinese language patch in May 2022. There have been no developer communications of any kind since May 2, 2022 — over four years of silence as of June 2026. Both DLC items (soundtrack packs) were released on launch day and there are no unreleased DLC entries. The game has no announced future content, no outstanding commitments, and no sustained post-launch update pattern beyond two minor patches. The evidence points to development having concluded with the May 2022 language update.
