Redemption Reapers launched on February 22, 2023 as a complete, self-contained dark fantasy tactics game. Following launch, the developer shipped a series of patches through mid-2023: early bug fixes in March, UI and balance improvements in April, a substantial quality-of-life update in May that added an Easy difficulty mode and New Game+, and finally Steam Deck support on June 29, 2023. That June 29 patch is the last recorded communication from the developer. There are no DLC listings, no season pass, no announced expansions, and no roadmap pointing to future content. The store description presents the game as a complete narrative experience. The post-launch patch activity was consistent with a finished product being polished after release rather than a game being built out with ongoing content. With no further developer activity since June 29, 2023 and no outstanding content commitments, the game is complete.

Amid the despair, a small, localized contingent crosses swords with the Mort—the Ashen Hawk Brigade. A cunning band that specializes in surprise attacks, they were once known as the Faithless Reapers and despised by the masses. Little did the public know that this very unit was about to become the only hope in resisting the Mort.
