REKKR: Sunken Land launched on October 11, 2021 as a complete retro FPS with 32 levels across 4 episodes. Shortly after launch, the developer patched several bugs through November 2021, then stated on November 5, 2021 that they hoped not to need another update for roughly two years — signaling the game was essentially finished. That planned quiet period was later broken in a positive way: on January 2, 2023, the developer shipped the VR-3KKR addon — a bonus content pack adding 8 challenge maps, a secret map, and new deathmatch arenas.
