Evaluation

REMEDIUM: Sentinels launched out of Early Access on July 18, 2023, marking its full 1.0 release. The developer used the Early Access period to add weapons, enemies, bosses, maps, and quality-of-life improvements before shipping the final product. Following the 1.0 launch, post-release updates were limited: a gameplay patch in September 2023 added a "Dash" feature and engine improvements, and an optimization update in March 2025 upgraded the game to Unreal Engine 5.5 for better Steam Deck performance. Neither of these constitutes a major content expansion. The most recent developer communication (March 5, 2026) was a studio 10th-anniversary post celebrating Sobaka Studio's history. Notably, the anniversary update it announced was for the separate game REMEDIUM — not REMEDIUM: Sentinels — and contained no mention of new content or ongoing development for Sentinels. The post described looking ahead to "even greater adventures," but this was general studio language, not a commitment to new Sentinels content. There is no unreleased DLC listed, no roadmap, and no developer statement promising future content for REMEDIUM: Sentinels. The game has received only maintenance and optimization patches since launch, with no sustained major content cadence. It was released as a complete product and appears to remain so.
