Retail Company Simulator: Prologue is a free, intentionally limited preview of the full game, Retail Company Simulator. The store description explicitly states it is "a free prologue version" with "a limited amount of contracts" — it was designed from the outset as a sampler, not a game with an ongoing content roadmap of its own.
The prologue launched on July 19, 2024, and received two feature patches: one on July 28, 2024 (v1.1.2.035) and one on August 6, 2024 (v1.1.2.053). The August 6 patch also announced that the full game, Retail Company Simulator, had launched.
