Rewind 99 launched into Early Access in March 2026 and has now exited to its full 1.0 release on August 27, 2026 with the "Remix" update — the developer's largest update to date. This update rebuilt the game's core performance systems, overhauled employee AI, reworked the late rental system, expanded the world with new secret areas and lore content, and added controller support. However, the developer has been explicit that this is a milestone, not the finish line. The August 27, 2026 post states directly: "This is not the end of development for Rewind 99 — not even close." Four side hustles (Sloshy Bar, Pizza Delivery, Rodeo, and Arcade) were temporarily pulled from the game during the technical overhaul and are confirmed to return individually over the coming weeks as each is polished and tested. Multiplayer, which was disabled for this build due to performance instability, is described as the team's "top priority" to restore. A full content roadmap covering the remainder of 2026 is planned for publication in September. The earlier announcement (August 23, 2026) also stated the developer intends "to keep working on this game as long as people want us to," reinforcing that substantial ongoing development is planned beyond the 1.0 launch.

To play co-op today, switch to the Legacy branch (right-click the game in your Library → Properties → Betas → "Legacy"), which runs the June build and your older saves.
