Evaluation
Rewrite+ is a visual novel that launched on Steam on December 17, 2021 as an enhanced version of the original 2016 release. After launch, the developer shipped a major patch on November 21, 2022 adding achievements, subtitle support, Steam Deck compatibility, and numerous translation improvements. Two music DLC packs (the original soundtrack and an arrange album) were released on June 22, 2022, and both are now available.
The most significant post-launch development was the release of Rewrite Harvest festa! — the official fan disc companion to Rewrite+ — which launched as a separate Steam title on July 14, 2025. A follow-up post on August 20, 2025 promoted the fan disc alongside the addition of Steam trading cards for Rewrite+.
All DLC for Rewrite+ itself is released, the companion fan disc has shipped, and there are no announced future content plans for this title. The game is a self-contained visual novel that has now received its full complement of post-launch content and companion material. The last developer communication was on August 20, 2025.
Evidence

In this city built upon the ideal coexistence of civilization and the environment, Tennouji Kotarou spends his days with his friends, Kanbe Kotori and Yoshino Haruhiko. In this peaceful city, a tumultuous event shakes the foundations of Kazamatsuri once a year.
The Harvest Festival. Within this immense scale event, Kotarou collects all sorts of information. There are always rumors about unidentified creatures and the occult.
At the same time, mysterious happenings keep befalling Kotarou. He takes up the offer to help Senri Akane, the club president of the Occult Research Society and begins an investigation that will end up involving his fellow classmates.
To Kotarou, this created a lively and adventurous feel. To be able to spend time with this energetic and boisterous group was just right for him.
But there's something Kotarou doesn’t know.
He has yet to learn that his adventure is connected to a journey towards the “truth” that no one else has discovered.
