Rival Stars Horse Racing: Desktop Edition launched on June 24, 2020, and PikPok has continued delivering substantial content updates ever since. Since 2022 alone, the game has received at least eight major updates introducing new game modes (Cross Country in August 2022, Steeplechase in December 2023, Show Jumping arenas and Career modes), new horse breeds (Arabian, Appaloosa, Mustang, Knabstrupper, Akhal-Teke, Anglo-Arab, and others), new environments (Swiss Alps, Golden Dunes), expanded story chapters, and multiplayer features. The most recent major update, 1.40 "Roam Together," launched on November 19, 2025, adding Multiplayer Free Roam for up to eight players and a full Show Jumping Career mode with four leagues. A hotfix followed on December 1, 2025. On April 30, 2024, PikPok marked the franchise's 5th anniversary with a developer statement describing "exciting future updates" and continued commitment to the game's development. The studio also announced a VR Edition of the game for SteamVR in Q4 2024, demonstrating ongoing investment in the franchise. Major updates have arrived at a consistent cadence of roughly 2–5 months throughout 2024 and 2025, and as of June 2026 we are approximately 7 months past the last major update — slightly outside the tightest recent cadence window, but PikPok has not announced an end to development, and the pattern of updates across six-plus years shows no sign of a formal conclusion.
