Rock of Ages launched on September 7, 2011 as a complete, standalone game. The developer's post-launch activity on this game's Steam page was limited to a Halloween-themed boulder avatar added on October 25, 2012 and a bug fix patch on December 19, 2012. Since then, ACE Team has moved on to develop sequels — Rock of Ages 2: Bigger & Boulder (released August 28, 2017) and Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break (released July 21, 2020) — both announced and discussed via this game's Steam news hub, but those are separate titles. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no outstanding content commitments, and no developer statements suggesting further updates to the original game. The original Rock of Ages launched and was supported briefly before the studio focused on sequels. It is a complete, finished product.

Two castles stand opposed; one is yours, the other is your enemy’s. They're a jerk and their castle sucks, so you’re going to try to smash it using an enormous boulder. Even as they build up their defenses, you're ready to roll over them in order to raze that unsightly tower. But beware! There’s a giant boulder headed your way, too.
