Royal Alchemist

Royal Alchemist launched on April 30, 2020 as a complete visual novel / raising simulation. Following launch, the developer released two minor bug-fix patches in May and June 2020. Both DLC items — an artbook and a combined guide + artbook — shipped at or around launch (April 28 and May 2, 2020) and are purely supplementary materials, not story content. The only post-launch content signal came on December 7, 2021, when Nifty Visuals announced a Kickstarter for Royal Order, a separate game set in the same universe. That announcement explicitly frames Royal Order as a new standalone project, not additional content for Royal Alchemist itself. The developer has not posted any updates to Royal Alchemist's Steam page since December 2021, and there are no unreleased DLC items, no roadmap, and no promises of future updates for this title. Royal Alchemist appears to have launched as a finished product. The post-launch activity consisted entirely of bug fixes and compatibility improvements, and the developer's creative energy has since moved on to a successor project. The game can be considered complete as of the last patch on June 25, 2020.
