Evaluation
Rumu launched on December 12, 2017 as a self-contained narrative adventure game. Following launch, Robot House issued a series of post-launch patches improving performance, adding platform support (Mac in February 2018, Linux in September 2018), and fixing bugs. The most substantial of these was the Version 2.0 engine overhaul on September 28, 2018, which brought significant technical improvements but did not add new story content. The official soundtrack DLC released on October 4, 2018, and a final feature patch (v2.2.0) shipped on November 30, 2018 — the last recorded developer communication. No new content has been announced or released since November 30, 2018. The game has no unreleased DLC on the store, no roadmap indicating future content, and no developer statements suggesting further updates are planned. As a narrative-driven single-player adventure with a fixed story, the game is complete. The last patch on November 30, 2018 effectively marks the end of active development.
