The developer shipped several notable content updates during this period, including new heroes, bosses, items, game modes, and language support throughout 2015 and 2016. The most recent major news post, from August 11, 2017, announced the Android release of the game and briefly outlined what was left on the horizon — primarily platform considerations (iOS freemium conversion and a PS4 release pending ratings from PEGI and ESRB). No specific new game content was promised beyond those platform ports. The developer's May 2017 announcement of a new game, "Unformed," indicated the studio's primary focus had shifted to a new project, with Runestone Keeper described as having "fed and sustained the team only for so long."
