Runic Rampage - Action RPG

Runic Rampage launched on May 17, 2017 as a complete, self-contained action RPG. After release, developer Alex (Electrocosmos) ran an active update campaign driven by a community review challenge, adding new weapons and game modes through a series of feature patches: localization support (September 2017), a fish weapon and Steam Cloud save (January 2018), additional weapons via the review challenge (February–March 2018), the New Game Advanced difficulty mode (June 2018), and finally the Winning Streak game mode with new achievements (March 8, 2019). A free digital wallpaper/avatar pack was released on March 27, 2020, but this was cosmetic bonus content rather than a gameplay update. The last developer communication about a different game — a point-and-click adventure called The Plague Doctor of Wippra — was posted on November 24, 2021, signaling that Electrocosmos had moved on to a new project. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content for Runic Rampage, and no sustained update pattern since March 2019. The sole paid DLC is the soundtrack, which released alongside the game on May 17, 2017. The game launched as a finished product and received meaningful post-launch additions through March 2019, after which development activity ceased. The studio's attention has shifted to other projects.
