WuJiDaoRen entered Steam Early Access on March 12, 2023. At launch, the developer stated that Early Access was "just a beginning" and outlined plans to add more weapons, side quests, and a challenge mode. Two small patches followed on March 13 and March 17, 2023 — addressing tutorial tweaks, difficulty adjustments, and a minor bug fix. Those were the last communications from the developer. No further updates, announcements, or developer posts have appeared since March 17, 2023. The promised content (weapons, quests, challenge mode) has not shipped, and the game remains in Early Access with no indication of whether development is continuing. With over three years of silence following an explicit list of planned features, the status of those commitments is unclear.

WuJiDaoRen specially designed this physics-based character locomotion system, that generates real time fighting and reaction animations.
Through the interactive moves and fluid combat motion, and tried to present the beauty of Chinese Martial Arts.
Character will move like in the real world, the move and the balance is calculated by steps and the force used.
Each action move is simulated by physics, calculates its speed, momenten, the balance state, where it hits and how it hits.
Moves can intersect with each other like in the real world. The character can be dragged, pushed, and tripped, and will behave like what it should be.
Every combat result is unique.
There also have various weapons that can be chosen. Each type of weapon brings a different fighting style and feel.
