Evaluation
Sclash launched on August 4, 2023 as a 2D samurai fighting game. After launch, the developer delivered several notable content milestones: an online multiplayer mode with rollback netcode launched on November 8, 2023; the Sakura DLC (new weapon and mask) released on May 2, 2024; and the Joystick DLC released on May 16, 2024 — the most recent paid content drop. The game also expanded to Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation on May 2, 2024.
The May 2, 2024 Sakura DLC post teased "next stop might be free content," but no such content has materialized in the time since. All four DLC items currently listed on the store are released, and no unreleased DLC is pending. Since May 2024, developer communications have consisted only of maintenance and quality-of-life updates: a display settings patch (April 30, 2024), a key rebind patch (February 19, 2024), an online achievements fix (September 21, 2025), and a Unity security patch (November 3, 2025). None of these posts announce new content or reference upcoming features.
The developer's most recent communications — the September and November 2025 patches — are purely technical maintenance. There is no active content roadmap, no unreleased DLC on the store, and no developer statement indicating further content is planned. The vague free-content tease from May 2024 has not been followed up in over a year, and the subsequent update history suggests it did not lead to any additional release. The game appears to have shipped as a complete product with the Joystick DLC on May 16, 2024 being the last content addition.
Evidence
Joystick DLC released on May 16, 2024 — the most recent paid content addition to the game.
Sakura DLC released May 2, 2024. All four listed DLCs are now released with none pending.
