Serious Sam: Shatterverse launched today, August 31, 2026, developed by Behaviour Interactive and published by Devolver Digital. The game is a co-op roguelite FPS and is the first major release in the Serious Sam series from a new developer.
In the launch post (August 31, 2026), Game Director Nic Duchesne explicitly addressed the game's content philosophy: the team wanted to launch as "a complete, appropriately priced standalone game" from day one, but also "built the game to support expansions, DLC, and new content that could grow the base experience if fans wanted more."
