Sewer Rave originally launched in 2018 and came to Steam on December 10, 2021. On December 23, 2023, the developer (Autumn Rain) posted a direct statement about the game's future: because the game is built on an old version of Unity and updating it has become increasingly difficult, they are no longer actively supporting it. As a gesture to the community, they made it free to own. The developer acknowledged that a complete remake in a different engine is something they have "preliminary plans" for, but explicitly noted it "may take a while" and gave no timeline or commitment. This is not an announcement of concrete upcoming content — it's a vague personal aspiration. The game as it currently exists on Steam is effectively complete and unsupported. No DLC has ever been listed, and the store description notes the Twitch integration is no longer functional.
