Shardlight

Shardlight is a self-contained, narrative-driven adventure game that launched on March 8, 2016. It shipped with a single bonus content DLC on the same day as the base game (a supplementary pack, not an expansion), and no additional story content or expansions have ever been announced or released. Since launch, Wadjet Eye Games has continued to maintain the game through technical patches — most notably a significant v2.0 update on February 9, 2022 that added Linux/Mac ports with working achievements, and an engine upgrade on July 25, 2023 that improved rendering and platform support. More recently, a config tool was added on April 14, 2025, and a hotfix was issued as recently as June 3, 2026. These are all maintenance and compatibility updates rather than new story or gameplay content. The developer has never announced any post-launch story DLC, expansions, or a roadmap for additional content. There are no unreleased DLC entries on the store. The pattern of updates is consistent with long-term maintenance of a finished product. Shardlight launched as a complete, standalone adventure game, and all evidence points to that being the case — the continued patches simply reflect the developer keeping the game running well on modern systems.
