Sharks and Minnows launched on April 14, 2025 and has received consistent post-launch support. The developer shipped a major first update on November 18, 2025, which nearly doubled the game's length by adding new areas and achievements. In that same post, the developer explicitly committed to two additional major updates: a lore update and a post-game update. On April 5, 2026, the developer posted again, confirming that Major Update 2 would release "within two months. Possibly one." That window closed around early-to-mid June 2026. As of October 8, 2026, no update has shipped and the developer has posted nothing since April 5, 2026 — a silence of over six months with no communicated reason for the delay. The commitment to Major Update 2 remains outstanding and unretracted, but the developer has gone silent well beyond the promised delivery window. This combination — a concrete, undelivered promise and a prolonged communication blackout — raises genuine uncertainty about whether and when the announced content will arrive.
