Evaluation
Shenmue III released on Steam on November 19, 2020, alongside all three of its DLC packs (Story Quest Pack, Big Merry Cruise, and Battle Rally) — all of which launched on the same day as the base game. Following launch, the developer issued a hotfix announcement on December 22, 2020 addressing achievement bugs and a keyboard UI issue, which was delivered via a patch on January 12, 2021. That patch represents the last official communication from YS Net. No further content, updates, roadmaps, or announcements have been made since January 12, 2021. The store description contains no indication of additional planned content, and there are no unreleased DLC entries on the store. The game launched as a complete narrative experience with its full DLC suite, and all post-launch activity was limited to bug fixing. Development activity ceased after the January 2021 patch.
