Shing!

Shing! launched on August 28, 2020. At launch, the developer stated they were working on new modes and online co-op. True to that, they delivered: a new hidden boss and control scheme in November 2020, online multiplayer (which went through beta testing and officially launched on November 23, 2021), and a substantial version 2.0 update on December 23, 2022 that added keyboard support, tutorials, and enemy balancing improvements. The two DLC items listed — a Soundtrack and an Artbook — both released on October 30, 2020 and are the only DLC ever offered. No DLC remains unreleased. Since the version 2.0 update in December 2022, developer activity has been limited to a minor patch in January 2023 related to Steam Deck verification, and a cross-promotion bundle announcement in January 2025 (pairing Shing! with another game for a discount). Neither of these represents new game content. There have been no announcements of upcoming DLC, expansions, or additional updates. The developer has not communicated any plans for further content development. The January 2025 bundle announcement is a marketing/promotional activity, not a content release. With no unreleased DLC, no stated future content plans, and a developer communication pattern that has wound down to promotional posts only, the game appears to have reached its completed state as of the version 2.0 release on December 23, 2022.
