Shogun Showdown: Prologue is a free standalone demo released on April 4, 2023, designed to showcase the full game Shogun Showdown. Its store description explicitly defines it as a limited preview with a fixed set of features: one playable character, three combat locations, 14 attack tiles, 8 quests, 2 challenges, and 10+ skills. There is no indication of planned updates or additional content for the Prologue itself — it was released as a complete, bounded sample of the full game. The full game (Shogun Showdown) launched into Early Access on June 28, 2023, and reached its 1.0 release on September 5, 2024, but those are developments for the separate full product. The Prologue has received no post-launch updates and has no DLC, unreleased content, or developer statements suggesting further development.
