Sim Empire

Sim Empire launched on April 14, 2019 and has been in continuous active development ever since. The developer shipped a major 6th anniversary update on July 2, 2026 (version 5.0.0), titled "Heroes Descend," which introduced a large hero/legend system with 114 legendary characters drawn from different civilizations, a new officer system spanning five civilizations, a team formation system, a tavern feature for transferring heroes across civilizations, and various other gameplay additions. This was followed by a series of feature and bug-fix patches running through August 7, 2026, the most recent developer communication on record. Across 37 developer posts since launch, the studio has consistently shipped updates — from minor bug fixes to significant feature expansions — with no indication of an end to development. The game's massively multiplayer nature is consistent with an ongoing live product. The developer has not announced any specific future content by name, but the pace and scale of recent updates shows the game is clearly still being actively developed and maintained.
