SKIBIDI: ESCAPE FROM TOILETS launched into Early Access on November 30, 2023. The solo developer shipped two major content updates in quick succession — a significant content update on January 31, 2024 (adding a new playable character, new enemy types, and a new map) and the SKIBIDI ARENA update on February 14, 2024 (adding a new island location and arena mode). Both of these posts explicitly stated that another update was already in the works with more Skibidi, maps, and abilities promised. After a few bug fixes wrapping up in late February 2024, all substantive development communication stopped. The only post since then was a promotional October 26, 2025 announcement highlighting a 70% Halloween sale — no patch notes, no development update, no new content. The store description continues to promise that "many new locations will be added for free and regularly," and the short description advertises "free content updates with new levels and game modes." The game remains in Early Access, signaling it is not considered finished by the developer. However, no new content has shipped since February 2024 — a gap of well over a year — and no explanation has been provided for the silence. This raises real uncertainty about whether the promised ongoing content is still being developed.
