Slender: The Arrival

Slender: The Arrival has a long post-launch history, culminating in its major 10th Anniversary Update on October 18, 2023, which added a complete visual overhaul, a brand new chapter ("Nightmare"), and multi-language support — all as a free upgrade for existing owners. At the time of that update, Blue Isle Studios announced an ambitious 2024 roadmap targeting Q2 2024: a cooperative multiplayer mode, a three-chapter DLC expansion, and a cross-platform mod kit. This was reaffirmed in a November 2023 post where the studio spoke enthusiastically about turning the game into something with "continued updates months and years into the future." However, two subsequent developer communications walk back those plans. On April 26, 2024, the studio announced a delay to all the planned content — DLC chapters, multiplayer, and mod support — citing the team working across multiple projects. Then, on February 14, 2025, the studio posted a direct update stating they are pausing development of the Slender: The Arrival DLC, mod support, and multiplayer entirely, with only a vague hope to "revisit this content in the future." This February 2025 post is the most recent and most authoritative developer statement about the game's future. It explicitly pauses all previously announced content without any new commitment or timeline. Because there is no outstanding content that the developer has committed to delivering, and the last meaningful developer communication confirms development has been put on hold indefinitely, the game is effectively complete as it stands — with the 10th Anniversary Update representing the final shipped content. The only DLC on the store (the 2014 soundtrack) has been released. There are no unreleased DLC listings.
