Slipstream

The developer, ansdor, has explicitly stated that Slipstream's development is complete. On September 5, 2024, they published a post titled "Going out with a bang," announcing the game's "final major update" — a free content expansion called Supernova (two tracks, two cars, two songs) alongside a full set of modding/workshop tools. In that post, the developer wrote: "But it's time to conclude this journey... the modding system was the last major thing I wanted to add to it." They also noted they would continue fixing bugs if needed but that no further major content is planned. This conclusion was a long time coming. As far back as the v1.1 update in October 2018, the developer described that release as "the last major content update for this game" — though they ultimately returned years later with the full v1.2 rewrite (September 2021), console ports, the Blue Hour free DLC (June 2023), and finally the Supernova expansion and workshop tools (September 2024). The September 2024 post is the definitive endpoint, with the developer explicitly framing it as a decade-long journey now concluded. The single released DLC, Slipstream: Blue Hour (June 28, 2023), shipped as planned. No unreleased DLC remains on the store. The developer has handed creative continuity to the community via the Steam Workshop tools, but has made clear they are moving on to new projects.
