Evaluation

SPGP Super Polygon Grand Prix has been in Early Access since August 5, 2024 and remains there as of today, August 20, 2026. The developer has been consistently active, shipping a steady stream of updates throughout the Early Access period. Notable recent milestones include: Championship Mode with Super Karts (January 29, 2026), a full Championship Mode relaunch with dynamic weather, tyre changes, and pit stops (June 10, 2026, version 0.8), VR mode added on July 31, 2026 (version 0.87), and a substantial feature patch on August 7, 2026 (version 0.89) covering gameplay improvements, track visual overhauls, steering wheel backend support, and more VR work. On December 30, 2025, the developer published a roadmap targeting a full 1.0 release in Spring 2026, with all 20 championships and remaining tracks. That Spring 2026 window has now passed, and the game remains at version 0.89 in Early Access. No developer post has addressed the missed 1.0 target or provided an updated release timeline — the most recent communications are routine patches with no mention of when 1.0 will arrive. On the positive side, the developer is clearly still actively working on the game — updates have been coming as recently as August 7, 2026. However, the promised 1.0 release date has slipped without explanation, which means players cannot currently gauge when the game will exit Early Access.
