New Star™ GP launched into full release on March 7, 2024, graduating from Early Access with its complete content package including the 2010s and 2020s racing eras and Championship Mode. Prior to that launch, the game had an active Early Access period during which it shipped several major content updates: Creation Mode (November 6, 2023), the 2000s racing decade (December 13, 2023), and the full 1.0 release itself (March 7, 2024). After launch, the developer shipped one additional major free update — Hot Lap Mode on June 5, 2024 — adding a brand-new game mode with Steam leaderboard support. Following that, updates shifted to feature patches and bug fixes: a substantial feature update on February 24, 2025 (adding driver/team renaming, manual gears, and traction control), a localisation hotfix on March 7, 2025, and a Japanese language and gameplay scaling update on May 7, 2025. The developer has not announced any upcoming DLC, expansions, or future content roadmap since the game reached 1.0. The Early Access roadmap published in September 2023 outlined the path to full release, and that roadmap has been fully delivered. No new content commitments have been made post-launch. The most recent developer communication was May 7, 2025, and the cadence of updates since the Hot Lap Mode release has been maintenance and incremental feature work rather than major content additions. With no outstanding commitments and no further content signalled, the game appears content-complete as of the last major update on May 7, 2025.
