Smasher and the Will o' the Thiccs

On July 12, 2022, the developer published a direct statement announcing that development of Smasher and the Will o' the Thiccs had been placed on indefinite hiatus. The post explains that the solo developer ran out of motivation and that financial pressures made continued development unsustainable. As part of this announcement, the game was removed from Early Access — explicitly to stop implying future content was coming — and the price was reduced to $2.99. The developer was transparent that while minor bug fixes might continue and a return to development was not ruled out forever, all active content development had stopped as of that date. No further developer posts after July 2022 indicate any resumption of content work. The store description still mentions "more to come with free updates," but this language predates and is directly contradicted by the July 12, 2022 developer statement, which supersedes it. The game shipped as a complete package at that point, with 9 main story levels, 2 bonus levels, and a level editor.
