So Many Cubes entered Steam Early Access on October 6, 2016 and has never left it. The developer's activity on this game effectively ceased very shortly after launch. The only substantive update was a tutorial patch on October 12, 2016 — less than a week after release. A trading card addition followed on December 2, 2017, but that is a minor Steam platform feature rather than meaningful game content. The two other news posts from 2017 were promotional announcements for completely unrelated games from the same publisher, not updates for So Many Cubes. There has been no developer communication of any kind about this game since December 2, 2017, and no 1.0 release or content roadmap has ever been announced. The game remains purchasable on Steam in its Early Access state, but there is no indication that development is continuing or that a full release is planned.
