Somber Echoes

Somber Echoes launched on January 21, 2025, and Rock Pocket Games supported it actively throughout 2025 with a series of patches addressing balance, quality-of-life improvements, map systems, and traversal refinements. The two most substantive post-launch updates were: a June 27 / July 8, 2025 update that added speedrun modes, boss challenges, and Supernova puzzles alongside the console launch on PlayStation and Xbox; and an October 20, 2025 update that added localization for Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Russian, along with refreshed key art. On March 26, 2026, the developer posted a price reduction announcement, lowering the base price from $24.99 to $14.99. The post describes a "longer journey for Somber Echoes" and mentions being "committed to continuing to support and improve the game," but this is a general expression of goodwill rather than a specific announcement of new content or a named expansion. No DLC is listed on the store, no roadmap has been published, and no named future content has been announced. The previous evaluation flagged "content_planned" based on the July 2025 post describing the console release and challenge content. That content has now shipped — the console launch occurred July 8, 2025, and the challenge features were delivered in that same update. The teaser for that content was fulfilled by the July 2025 release. The October 2025 localization update was the last substantive content addition. With no outstanding commitments, no unreleased DLC, and no developer statement announcing specific future content, the game appears to have shipped as a complete product. The March 2026 price cut post contains encouraging language about ongoing support but does not rise to the level of a concrete content announcement. The last meaningful content shipped on October 20, 2025, and there has been no new content or specific announcement in the roughly eleven months since.
