Somewhere in the Shadow launched on August 23, 2021 as a complete co-op horror puzzle game. The developer posted four small bug fix patches in the two days immediately following launch (August 24–26, 2021), then went completely silent. There have been no developer communications of any kind since August 26, 2021 — nearly five years ago. No DLC was ever listed, no expansions were announced, and no roadmap or post-launch content plan was ever communicated. The game shipped as a finished product and has operated without any developer activity since its launch week bug fixes.
