Spin Rhythm XD

Spin Rhythm XD launched out of Early Access on March 14, 2023 and has been receiving regular major content updates ever since. Post-launch major releases include: the Supporter Pack DLC and Nintendo Switch version (mid-to-late 2023), a free VR mode plus PlayStation 4/5 ports and Chillhop DLC (July 2024), the Indie Pack DLC with a crossover collaboration (November 2025), a Rift of the NecroDancer crossover update (March 12, 2026), and most recently Update 1.85 on June 27, 2026 — which pushed the game's track count to 80 and added community-designed skins. That's a strong, consistent pattern of major updates across three-plus years. The developer has not signaled that development is winding down. In October 2024, they explicitly mentioned three remaining goals: an editor update, an endless mode, and some form of multiplayer. The editor improvements have been delivered iteratively, but endless mode and multiplayer have not shipped. In September 2025, the developer also noted that "a few more rhythm game collabs" were coming. The most recent update arrived just weeks ago (June 27, 2026), well within the historical cadence window. In addition, the March 2026 update revealed that the developer has been working on a new game called Ligmanauts — and the August 2026 Ligmanauts trailer was posted to the Spin Rhythm XD news feed. While this indicates the team has additional projects underway, the continued cadence of Spin Rhythm XD updates suggests ongoing support for this title in parallel. All five currently listed DLCs have been released, but the pattern of regular new paid DLC packs (Chillhop in July 2024, Indie Pack in November 2025) and free content additions suggests more may follow. There is no statement from the developer indicating content development has concluded.
