Spiritfarer®: Farewell Edition

Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition is the complete, finished package of the game. Thunder Lotus released three major free content updates throughout 2021 — the Lily Update (April 20, 2021), the Beverly Update (August 31, 2021), and the Jackie & Daria Update (December 13, 2021) — then explicitly announced that the Jackie & Daria Update was "the third and final update" and that the studio would be "sailing away" from Spiritfarer. The game was simultaneously rebranded as the "Farewell Edition" to mark this conclusion, described as the "complete" edition containing all content released to date. The developer's own FAQ from June 2025, announcing their next game "At Fate's End," directly states: "the release of the Farewell Edition marked the official end of the project." This reaffirms that development concluded on December 13, 2021. The store description also confirms the Farewell Edition "brings together the base game... and all the additional content released to date." All DLC (digital artbook and soundtrack) was released on the game's original launch date. A minor November 2022 patch added new material to the artbook and soundtrack DLC to reflect the three content updates, but this was housekeeping rather than new game content. Thunder Lotus has since moved on to new projects: "At Fate's End" (announced June 2025, made by the Spiritfarer team) and "33 Immortals" (announced January 2026). Spiritfarer is a fully complete, finished game with no further content planned.
